Meeting Adeline
Hi.
I decided to write another diary note on meeting my new friend, Adeline. I am so excited about it; Mother says that I am getting pretty annoying when I talk about her.
Adeline is a very beautiful girl. She has big round eyes, with black, straight hair. I wish I could have her beautiful hair. She speaks French most of the time, but when she speaks English, she speaks with a French accent.
Adeline just moved here from France. She told me that her people a going to make a colony but she does not know where. She tells me a lot about her people and her family. She lives with both her parents and her 3 brothers and one sister. When her father and brothers go hunting she stays home with her mother and she cooks, cleans and makes clothes. I think that we are going to be great friends.
When Adeline gets here, I am going to show her around my tribe and introduce her to my best friend, Algoma. Algoma name means valley of flowers, because that is where she was born. It is kind of weird. I think Algoma and Adeline will get along great. After Adeline meets my friends, I think we will go for a swim. I don’t know what else we will do, but that’s my plan for now.
Anyways, Father is home from work. I think supper is ready, too. I need to go though. Bye.

Ya I can’t wait to go swimming. I like swimming. Well I don’t know lots of people here yet so I think it would be great if I met Algoma and some of your tribe. Are there any people here that are around our age?

To answer your question, there is a few people who are our age. My Chief said that if there was one or two more, we could probably make our own class. That would be great to learn about stuff. When we were younger there was no such thing as a class. Everything is changing so fast! Oh! This went by fast. I have to leave. Bye!
