Life of France.
Hi. My name is Adeline. I am 14 years old and I live in France. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister. I also have a mom and dad. I am usually working in the house like cooking, cleaning and making clothes. My sister works on a farm and my dad and 3 brothers are always out hunting. My mom is usually home with me. We usually eat meat and drink some water from the lake. We don’t live to far from a lake so each morning I have to walk down to the lake and get a big bucket of water that usually lasts us the whole day. But I have to go back down at lunch to get some more for dishes. We go to bed when it gets dark and wake up when the sun comes out. That’s if it does. If the sun doesn’t come out, there is a warning bell for people to go to work. My brothers and dad get paid for hunting too. They give half to the rich people, they give my brothers money then we keep the rest and make clothes out of it or trade it for meat or spices. We usually make clothes though because we don’t have lots and we get lots of meat from the animals. My sister gets 2 days off a week and she gets paid too. She works on the land for rich people so we get more money from that. Soon we are going to be moving to Quebec in Canada because our colony is going to colonize there. But we have to settle first for a bit before we start the attack. Well not me the people in our colony. Kids don’t usually get involved. But if anything bad happens like they are already planed for the attack we will have to move back to France. Usually girls aren’t apart of that stuff. Only guys. So me my sister and my mom will be staying away and just making it seem like nothing is happening. My sister is 16 and my 3 brothers are 15, 17 and 14.But I have to go now. My mom is calling because I need to make supper before my brothers and dad gets home.
